We wish for presenting you an ideal tour for travelers who are fond of nature. We made a individual trekking tour that will take place on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. During this tour you will see our famous lake and real nomads. You will sleep not only in guesthouses but also in yurts - nomadic portable house made of timber and felt mats. Welcome to our Celestial Kyrgyzstan!
Day 1: Arrival in BishkekYou will be taken by your guide from Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). After accommodation in a hotel*** that is placed in a clam part of the city you will have a rest and where you start the day with a breakfast. Afterwards you will have an excursion to Natural Park Ala-Archa. It is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan) in the Ala-Arch gorge, 45 km south Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan. You will go to the apex of a mount to have a nice view of this celebrated gorge. Returning to Bishkek. Night in the Hotel***. Customary food will be served at 7 o'clock.
Day 2: Bishkek - Jukku gorge
Breakfast is at 7 o'clock. Afterwards, you will start your trip to Jukku gorge by bus. On the way, we will drive through the stunning Boom gorge. You will be told by your guide about nomads' life, ethnicity and their amazing society. After that will continue our way to the Jukku gorge along the southern shore of the Heavenly Issyk-Kul Lake (1608 m. above sea level), which is 2nd largest mountainous lake on the planet. The Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". On the way we will break the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Once we reach our destination in Jukku gorge you will have hiking through the gorge to our tent camp. Dinner will be served in the camp, where you will as well spend the night.
Day 3: Jukku gorge
Today you will have getting used to in Jukku gorge, where you travel around it on your own. You can ramble along the incredible gorge to take a bath in mineral hot water springs; go on its nearest peaks, visit red mountains or just relax in the atmosphere of calm nature. There are incredible mountains, red rocks, and a cave that has a name "500 rams". It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. It is possible to try national drink Kumis (alcohol mare's milk) there. Because there are nomads who still inhabit in yurts and come to this summer pastures (jailoo) with their livestock and they are very welcoming and open. National dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will see the way of national cooking preparing and you will have a opportunity even to contribute in the process to be closer to nomads' existence.
Day 4: Jukku gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu
You will hike today along the Great Silk Ro just as well as ancient traders did. After breakfast we are off for a hike through the Jukka gorge (2520m above sea level) to another gorge Chon Kyzyl Suu. During this impressive excursion you will see our blissful mountains and terrific views of its pristine nature. Stop for a night at the campsite based right in the gorge.
Day 5: Chon Kyzyl Suu
After a delicious breakfast, we leave the camp at 9 o'clock and start our hiking tour to the spectacular Ashu Tor pass (2800m). After your lunch you will have an ascent to an amazing mountain lake, which takes its origin in a glacier. After enjoying the view of the mountain lake we come back to the station. With a bit of luck you might see mountain goats, ibex. You will feel as if you are 1000 thousand years ago in wild Tian Shan Mountains.Our cooks will teach you the way of local dishes making. You will be capable of even involve yourself in the process of national food "plov" cooking. This place is so remote from outside world and you can relax completely there.
Day 6: Chon Kyzyl Suu - Djeti Oguz
You will have hiking this day along magnificent places and you will be surprised who changeable our mountains. Their views change so fast that you cannot even perceive how the time passes. After a yummy habitual breakfast we will start our way to inspiring Djeti Oguz gorge.
Day 7: Djeti Oguz - Oguz Bashi - Djeti Oguz
Today you will see many yurts, collapsible felt dwellings of nomads on the way. It is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt. You will have climbing up to the Oguz Bashi glacier. You will have a good picnic with a view of the glacier and then we will come back to camp.
Day 8: Djeti Oguz
Today you will have several guides and that is why you can choose what to do. In the morning you will have time to walk in this pictorial gorge; some of you can ramble to a mountain waterfall; others can go down the gorge to a resort that was built in Soviet time. It will be possible to have a bath with hot springs and have massage there if you wish. Or you can hike to the Red rocks that have unusual forms. Because of these rocks the whole gorge was named. Indeed it looks like huge bulls from a far remoteness. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain and your guides will tell you a beautiful legend about it. Djeti Oguz means "Seven Bulls". In the evening you will taste our national meal - kurdak. You can also participate in its making to reveal all secrets of nomadic cuisine. You will listen to our nomadic songs and unusual countrywide Kyrgyz instruments. During your farewell mountain dinner you will enjoy Kyrgyz traditional Kyrgyz show.
Day 9: Djeti Oguz - Issyk Kul Lake
After packing your backpacks, you are to be served breakfast at 9 o'clock Then you will havetrekking down to the Djeti Oguz gorge. It has a nice mountain stream that flows down along the whole canyon. When we will come to the bottom of the gorge you can walk for 15 minutes on the top of the nearest mountain - there is a scenic view on Djeti Oguz rocks and red mountains around! Then you will be transferred to the northern shore of the Issyk Kul Lake - "the pearl of Central Asia" which is second largest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). Dinner is to be served in a home stay, where you are to spend the night.
Day 10: Issyk Kul - Bishkek
This day Bishkek you will have time to go for a stroll around the city and to buy souvenirs. You will have breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then we start our trip back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). At 7 pm a leave-taking dinner is served.
Day 11: Flight home
In the early hours of the morning you will be transferred to the airport.
