You will experience the nomadic style of life far away from the hectic of busy and stuffy cities. You will simply LOVE the way this tour has been organized. This tour is for people who want to discover the land of nomads.
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
30 min. drive from Manas International Airport to Bishkek City after you will be met by your guide. There, in Bishkek your 1st day in Kyrgyzstan starts with breakfast. You will spend for Bishkek City Tour the rest of the day, including lunch. The tour includes the visiting many others places of interest of the capital: the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and. Then we will go to the Chon Kemin valley. On the way, we will stop by at the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). We will stop in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you will have your dinner is at 7 pm, and where you also will spend the night.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
You will start your trip to Tamga (380 km,6h) by car as soon as you are finished with breakfast that is served at 7 o'clock. We will drive along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake. Isssik - Kul - "the pearl of Central Asia, the second largest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). Dinner is served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Tamga - Jukku gorge - pass Jukku
We leave the Guesthouse after the breakfast at 8 o'clock by car and approach to the Jukka gorge entrance. We will hike through the gorge from this place until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukka. Lunch is on the way. Today, you have a wonderful opportunity to try national drink kumis (alcohol fermented mare's milk). Jukku is the place where Kyrgyz nomadic shepherds still live in yurts.Your dinner is served in the open air and overnight stay is in tents in wild nature.
Day 4: Pass Jukku - Ak-Shirak
8 o'clock breakfast is served. Lunch is after the hiking over the pass Jukku. Then the hiking will be continued along the Silk Road (7hours) inside the Ak Shirak mountain range (average level is 3680m above sea) that is renowned for its mountain Chokoli lakes, which find their origin in glaciers. There is a stunning view over the majority of these lakes. The night is spent in yurts near these lakes, as soon as you have a dinner.
Days 5-7: Syrty Ak-Shirak (3000m above sea level)
From Ak Shirak, it is a 3-days-hike along the southern side of the Terskey Ala-Too Mountains to reach the foot of glacier Ashu-Tor, (3600-4200m). Ak-Shirak is the place where ancient traders hid from robberies where you feel like you are under the protection good spirits looking after you. During this trip all nights are to be spent in traditional nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts, which are made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail. You will also see our stunning Ara-Belsu Lake.
Day 8: Gorge Ashu-Tor
After a breakfast you will hike over 4000m. pass of Ashu-Tor, where you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier, while having a picnic. Then you will come to the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by passing through the stunning Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 hours, 3250m). Your overnight stay is organized in tents after your dinner.
Day 9: Gorge Ashu-Tor - Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
Having packing your backpacks, you will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. You will start your 7 hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley and the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break is organized on the way. Your dinner is given at 8 p.m. A yurta is a unique collapsible dwelling made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail, erecting and collapsing of which takes only hours, correspondingly. You will spend the night in yurts just like real nomads do.
Day 10: Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu - Bishkek
8 o'clock breakfast. This morning, you will be guided down to the hot water springs of Jeli Suu, (1 hour) where you can take a bath. After having lunch you will be transferred to Bishkek (350km) by car. We will go along the southern shore of Celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1600m.ab.s.l.) via the magnificent Boom gorge. You will be in Bishkek at a Hotel **** at around 7 pm. You will have time for yourself until you are picked up at 8 pm. You will have a magnificent farewell dinner in a restaurant with a national folklore performance in the Kyrgyz capital.
Day 11: Return Journey
At the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details you will be met by your guide at your Hotel and accompany you to International Airport of Manas.
