The next destination is Tash Rabat and Son Kul lake. These places are situated near Kochkor village. Being in Tash Rabat, you will see the Stone Castle. There is a deep pit (zindan) where criminals sentenced to death. In addition, Tash Rabat used to be a road for traders who crossed the Great Silk Road. Afterwards, you will continue your route to the famous Son Kul lake. It is located in Naryn region. It is important to note that, this lake lies at the altitude of 3016 m (9895 feet) above sea level. Travelling in Kyrgyzstan in winter, you will see a high precipitation of snow but still Son Kul lake looks amazing. It has a feature of changing its color due to mood. You may find it blue, yellow and even red. In summer, the average temperature on the lake is about 11 ˚ C (52˚ F) and below at night. You will find there yurt camps and get acquainted with nomadic herders. In addition, there is no fish in the lake, but locals acclimatized there a fishing zone.
Travellers are going to pass through Kazarman village and arrive to the second capital of Kyrgyz Republic - Osh city. The city is located near Uzbekistan and lies at the head of Fergana valley. In Osh, you will get acquainted with another culture. They a little bit differ in culture and tradition. It may happen due to neighboring with Uzbek community.
We will drive to Jalal-Abad city and visit Uzgen minaret. The uniqueness of the Uzgen complex based on the fact that 4 historical and archaeological monuments built during the 11-12th centuries CE. One more place you have to visit in a tour in Kyrgyzstan is the famous Arslanbob walnut forest. It is the largest forest in the world with an area of over 600,000 hectares. Later on, we will visit the largest Toktogul water reservoir. It is located on the Naryn River and occupies 284 square kilometers. On route, you will pass by wonderful valleys of the northern Tien Shan as Suusamyr valley. It is located between the Talas Alatau and the Kyrgyz Range.
