It was particularly difficult to survive in the country of mountains without a horse. For this reason the Kyrgyz nomads always praised horses considering them as the best possession. You will ride a horse for many hours in places of the wild and untouched nature. Here you will feel a complete freedom. This horse riding tour includes visiting of Celestial mountains and Issyk Kul Lake.
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
From Manas International Airport you ill be collected and accompanied to Bishkek City by your guide. (30 minutes drive from the Airport to Bishkek). You will start this day in Bishkek with a breakfast. This whole day will be devoted to a guided City Tour, including lunch. This sightseeing tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), the Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan, National Concert Hall, Osh Bazaar, Kyrgyz Museum of Fine Arts and many others places of interest. Transfer from Bishkek city to Chon Kemin Valley to the Guesthouse of Kalmak-Ashuu, where you also will spend the night. Dinner will be served at 7 pm.On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors).
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
At 7 o'clock in the morning breakfast will be served. Transfer (380 km, 6h) is by car from the Valley of Chon Kemin to Tamga Village. We will drive this day along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level). Issyk -Kul is the second largest mountain lake in the world after the Lake Titicaca in South America. This lake is also called "The treasure of Tien - Shan Mountains". In the Guesthouse of Tamga dinner is served. There you will also spend this night.
Day 3: Tamga - Chong Kyzyl Suu
We will start our (70 km.) trip to the exciting Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley by vehicle after strengthening breakfast. Upon arrival in Chon - Kyzyl Suu you will start your 5hours horse riding tour along the mountain Range of Terskey Ala - Too. On our way, we will see red in different fantastic shapes Sandstone Mountains. But before, we visit Jeli Suu thermal mineral springs, where you could take a bath in hot springs water. The horseback riding till Chong Kyzyl Suu Physical and Geographical Station takes one hour. Dinner. Overnight stay will be in the yurts. "Yurta" is a unique nomad's dwelling, collapsible dwelling that is built without nails. It represents wooden skeleton that is covered with thin felt mats.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Karatakia Pass - Kichi Kyzyl Suu Gorge
Fortifying breakfast. You will have a horseback riding after that to the striking Gorge of Karatakia and afterward over the Pass of Karatakia. You will take a lunch after enjoying of the surrounding views. It will be (6h) horseback riding down to Kitshi Kyzyl Suu Valley after lunch. The Valley of Kichi Kyzyl Suu is the place where you can try Kumis - fermented mare's milk that is Kyrgyz national drink. Our dinner is served at 7 p.m. Overnight stay is in the tent camp.
Day 5: Kitchi Kyzyl Suu - gorge Jukutchak
You will start horse riding to Kashka - Tor pass (3937m. a. s. l.) after breakfast. Through the dramatic red gorge you will ride a horse. You will see the red sandstone cave that is known as "500 rams". Not far from hot springs (40 degrees Celsius) that are also possible to visit if you wish the cascade is situated. Near this cascade you will have your lunch. We will continue our way to the Valley of Jukutchak after having a rest. Overnight stay is in the tent camp. At 8 p.m. is dinner.
Day 6: Jukutshak Gorge - Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge
8 o'clock in the morning our breakfast will be served. This day we will begin an ascent on horses to the (3636m above sea level) pass Ashu-Tor. On the way you will see a mountain waterfall and also you could take a bath in sauna. After having picnic we will keep on for six hours our horse riding down Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge. Our dinner will be served at 8 o'clock in the evening. This night we will spend in tents.
Day 7: Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge - Kashka-Suu Lake
Pack your backpacks. At 8 o'clock is our breakfast. Today we will have an ascent on horses to (3891m. a. s. l.) Kashka - Suu Pass. We will take a lunch on the pass. Then we will ride your to the Kashka-Suu Lake for 6 hours. This mountain lake is situated at the altitude of 3800 meters a. s. l. Kashka Suu Lake finds its origin in the glacier that is why the water in the lake is so gleaming and pure. We will spend this night in the tent camp. Dinner is served at 7 o'clock in the evening.
Day 8: Lake Kashka-Suu - river Kumtor (3012m)
You will begin horse riding to Kumtor River after delicious breakfast. We will ride over Ak Shirak Mountains, which even in a high summer are snow covered. The changeable weather of this area will surprise you. It can change from summer heat to winter snow falling within 20 minutes. This riding will take six hours. The most renowned place for gold diggers is Kumtor River. Even nowadays there are people who try to find out gold there. Our dinner will be served at 7 o'clock in the evening. This night you will spend near the Central Tien - Shan Observatory in the tent camp.
Day 9: Kumtor - Arabel Suu
At 8 o'clock in the morning we commence our day with a breakfast. We will ride your horse for five hours after breakfast along Arabel Suu River. Traditional lunch will be taken on the way. Next, we will keep on to the valley of the mountain lakes. It makes unforgettable feelings to walk there.There are eight lakes, which are situated nearby each other and you could see all of them. Near Arabel Suu River dinner and overnight are in tents.
Day 10: Arabel Suu - Chokoli Lakes (3006m. above sea level)
At 8 o'clock in the morning our breakfast will be served. Afterwards there will be horseback riding tour continuation to the Lakes of Chokoli. You could detect ibexes and Marco Polo sheep there being lucky. You will also visit the glacier not far from the mountain lake. Our dinner will be served at 7 o'clock in the evening. This night you will spend near the lake in tents.
Day 11: Chokoli Lakes - Bishkek (by car)
The breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. Pack your luggage. Drive to Bishkek City by vehicle. On arrival in Bishkek at around 5 p.m. in the Hotel*** you will have time for yourself until your pick up. At 7 p.m. in a café we will have departure dinner.
Day 12: Flight home
At the time arranged beforehand according to the details of your flight your guide will collect you up from the hotel and accompany you to the International Airport of Manas.
