Kyrgyzstan is the perfect country to have a bike tour. Our mountains have plenty of roads that are very good for bike tours. You will see our amazing landscapes and mountain lakes that are situated in the hidden places of Kyrgyzstan. There are no many people and you can visit the most untouched places in the world and feel you a person from the past.
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
After arrival in Kyrgyzstan your guide meets you in the International Airport Manas and you go to the Bishkek city where you check in a hotel and have breakfast and rest. After that is an excursion to Natural Park Ala-Archa which is situated 45 km from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan). You will go to the top of the mountain to see the panorama view of the Ala-Archa gorge. Return to Bishkek. You will have dinner at 7 p.m. Rooms will be reserved for you in a Hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley - Dzhylangach river
In the morning we leave Bishkek and go to Chon Kemin valley (200 km). First part of the road goes along the Kyrgyz range. Kyrgyz range is situated 40 km from Bishkek. It has many breathtaking places that attract many people. We will have wonderful views of snowy peaks from the road. On our way to Chon Kemin we visit the Burana Tower (remains of ancient city) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Afterwards we will arrive to the Dzhylangach River. Then we will ride about 40 km. Overnight will be in tents.
Day 3: Ride (58 km) Dzhylangach - Kichi-Naryn
Today we will pass by two rivers Balgart and Kichi-Naryn .It will be an easy day. Riding on dirt road. You will overnight in set up camp in the forest near the Kichi-Naryn River. This place has been one of the favorite places among kyrgyz nomads since ancient time. Shepherds were coming to this area with all their relatives. Some big tribes could count up to 10000 yurts! All of them were roaming from one place to another as a big family with a great amount of cattle.
Day 4: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town
After breakfast you ride down to the Kichi-Naryn village (2351m. alt.) situating 4 km from the confluence of the Kichi-Naryn and Naryn rivers. You will ride along Naryn River to Naryn town (2050 m. alt.). It is a long narrow town that was built right in the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyzstan Naryn. The town is situated at a height of 2800 meters above the sea level and it has mountains very close to the town. The road to Naryn will surprise you by its beauty and amazing mountains. The whole way will be along incredible gorges and you will have many photo stops! It will be an easy day. Lunch will be taken while driving. This night you spend as in yurts Kyrgyz dwelling made of felt leather and wood! They are collapsible nomadic dwellings and have been used for more than two thousands years.
Day 5: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Tash Rabat caravanserai (130 km)
Today we go from Naryn to the Tash Rabat Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle refers to the 14th century) but you will have a choice to ride this distance or to go by car. Tash Rabat is located at the very center of Tian Shan Mountains and there is no an analogue of this castle in the whole world, because it was made of stones and built inside a mountain at a height of 3200 meters asl. The walls are very thick they are about one meter. There are also underground prison rooms for ancient thieves. This night you will spend near Tash Rabat.
Day 6: Ride (86 km) Tash Rabat - Moldo village
Today after breakfast you will ride from Tash Rabat to Moldo village. This route (moderate difficulty) goes along the Naryn Valley. Asphalt road. This way was used by traders at the time of Great Silk Road. Thousand of them had been passing those places with their goods loaded on camels. It is a nice chance to feel that you ride along the same way! Overnight will be in tents (1670m. alt.).
Day 7: Moldo village - Son Kul Lake
Today we will go to the second biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul Lake over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) and you will have choice to ride this distance(60 km) or to go by car. First part of ride to the beginning of the gorge will be easy with a slight descent. There will be a narrow spot where we will enter to a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 meters. From here begins a steep ascent to the pass. Descent will be shorter and easier. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and wonderful pastures .It is also the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads used to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Your dinner will be served in yurts where you will also spend a night. (3016 m. alt.) Yurts are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings.
Day 8: Son Kul Lake
Today you will have free time at this wonderful place. We will walk among the Tian-Shan Mountains where you will be able to see nomads and to try a piece of bread and kumyz (national holy drink made of mare's milk). You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and their lifestyle on your own. You can ride along the lake on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild and pristine nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. You will overnight in tents.
Day 9: Transfer to Bishkek city
In the morning we return to Bishkek city. You will be carried away by the amazing scenery on the way back. In the city you will have free time for shopping and going for walk. In the evening you will have a farewell dinner in the restaurant and this night you will spend in a hotel***.
Day 10: Bishkek
Today first of all you will visit an eastern bazaar called Osh bazaar. There you will get an opportunity to merge in to the life of Asia bargaining with local traders. After that is a city tour including the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the Historical Museum, National philharmonic, Fine Art museum and others sights of Bishkek .Your farewell dinner will be served for you at 7 o'clock. Rooms will be reserved for you in a hotel***.
Day 11: Transfer to the airport
Our guide will pick you up from the hotel at arranged time and see you off on your flight to International Airport "Manas".
