Biking in Kyrgyzstan is popular among tourists. They come to our country to find out more about nomads and to ride along beautiful places. During one bike tour you will visit different landscapes of Kyrgyzstan and you will be surprised that the views will change so fast each other. Our country attracts a lot of people who love divine nature after their first trip they always want to come back to Kyrgyzstan one more time.
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
After arrival in Kyrgyzstan your guide meets you in the International Airport Manas and you go to the Bishkek city where you check in a hotel and have breakfast and rest. After that is an excursion to Natural Park Ala-Archa which is situated 45 km from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan). You will go to the top of the mountain to see the panorama view of the Ala-Archa gorge. Return to Bishkek. You will have dinner at 7 p.m. Rooms will be reserved for you in a Hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Son Kul Lake
Today we will go to the second biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul Lake over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) and you will have choice to ride this distance or to go by car. First part of ride to the beginning of the gorge will be easy with a slight descent. There will be a narrow spot where we will enter to a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 meters. From here begins a steep ascent to the pass. Descent will be shorter and easier. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and wonderful pastures .It is also the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads used to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Your dinner will be served in yurts where you will also spend a night. (3016 m. alt.) Yurts are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings.
Day 3: Son Kul Lake
Today you will have free time at this wonderful place. We will walk among the Tian-Shan Mountains where you will be able to see nomads and to try a piece of bread and kumyz (national holy drink made of mare's milk). You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and their lifestyle on your own. You can ride along the lake on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild and pristine nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. You will overnight in tents.
Day 4: Ride Son Kul Lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon (80km)
In the morning we start riding in direction of the holy stones with ancient carved inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). Having seen them we will leave Son Kul and ride to the Djumgal valley via Kara Keche pass (3381m). It is a region of high mountains, snow peaks, and red canyons. There we will go for a walk to see canyons. Overnight will be in tents.
Day 5: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Kyrk-Kyz pass 3223m
Today you will see different landscapes color rocks, pastures, panoramas. We will pass near the Kizil Oi (red canyon) village. It is a small poor village in the mountains and there you can see life of Kyrgyz people. On the way to the village you will see red canyons. This place differs from many other places in Kyrgyzstan. These canyons always impress travelers and all they want to come back there one more time. Night will be in the tents.
Day 6: Ride Kyrk-Kyz pass - Ter Jailak pass 2446m - Toluk village (50km)
Today you will ride rather difficult route, but you will not be tired of it because here you will see many interesting things, here you can meet real nomads. Even nowadays they come to this place and you can see their way of life. Nomads are very hospitable and they are always glad to communicate with foreigners. You can ask them about their life and to see their felt dwellings. Also it is possible to try national drink kumis that has unusual taste. It is made of mare's milk and it is fermented. Night will be in tents.
Day 7: Ride and transfer to the Toktogul village
In the morning after the meal you start riding and the driver will follow you. The road will go through a plenty of picturesque places and you will never forget them. When you are there it becomes clear that the best architecture in the world is Mother Nature! Lunch and transfer to the village where we can take a shower or drive to the artificial lake. You will stay for a night in the guest house.
Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city
In the morning we return to Bishkek city. You will be carried away by the amazing scenery on the way back. In the city you will have free time for shopping and going for walk. In the evening you will have a farewell dinner in the restaurant and this night you will spend in a hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek
Today first of all you will visit an eastern bazaar called Osh bazaar. There you will get an opportunity to merge in to the life of Asia bargaining with local traders. After that is a city tour including the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the Historical Museum, National philharmonic, Fine Art museum and others sights of Bishkek .Your farewell dinner will be served for you at 7 o'clock. Rooms will be reserved for you in a hotel***.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
Our guide will pick you up from the hotel at arranged time and see you off on your flight to International Airport "Manas".
