Day 1: Baku
Dear guests, welcome to travel in Azerbaijan! We are happy to welcome you to Baku, the city as the Caspian Sea, as we take guests from the airport. Today the trip is going to be aimed at the exploration of the capital city. As we have lunch here, our trip will be taken along the modern and old parts of the city. For the beginning the way is organized along one of the most interesting places, significant architectural places, the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. It was created by architect Zaha Hadid, as he wanted to express the unique lines of the building. There are many exhibitions of historical items in the center to be shown. Then invitees get to Aliyev center, one of the most adored public places of Baku. Night is offered to be taken in the hotel.
Today the tour is made to the old town, and one of the first places is Icheri Sheher. It is seen to be the place of old times, being the very center of the city. It is famous for being located inside the fort. For now the trip is going to be made along the ancient monuments of the city, with visiting the Market Square, Juma Mosque, Synyk Gala Castle, Caravanserais, baths, Maiden Tower of the XII century, residential buildings and the Palace of Shirvan Shakhov of the XV century. Correspondingly, our team wants to show the Workshop of the artist Ali Shamsi, the UNESCO historical heritage place. Then we have lunch and organize the walk along the streets of the city. Night is spent in the hotel.
Day 3: Baku - Gobustan - Baku
As guests come to the country with an aim to get closer the history, they visit the Bibi-Heybat complex. Here there is the mosque and tombs, graves with one being for the well-known successor of the Prophet Muhammad. Later on this day we are going to visit the Gobustan Reserve of rock carvings. Excursion here will be made to 6,000 rocks, with some of them being 30,000 years old. The journey then is organized to 10km from Gobustan, to active volcanoes of Absheron. Eventually this day visitants have a view of the renowned Carpet Museum, and about 10,000 items here. Right here there are ceramics, metal and bronze jewelry, metal items of the 14th century and carpets and rugs of the 17th-20th centuries, as well as gold and silver jewelry, national clothing and embroidery are exhibited. Day 4: Baku - Lankaran (Girkansky reserve) - Baku
As the day starts early in the morning, we would like to get to the Hirkan Nature Reserve. This location of the very great significance, as held to be in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. At the same time this location is famous for being a unique transition zone, as climate changes from humid to dry subtropics. Being here you have a chance to outlook boxwood, ironwood, velvet maple, giant figs, silk acacia, with then making witness of1900 species of plants growing here. By the way, about 160 species are famous in the Talysh mountains. In the course of the trip guests are always admire fauna, presented by leopard, the Caucasian lynx, the stone marten, the porcupine, the Talysh spotted woodpecker, the Iranian robin, the Persian snake. So this day comes to an end and you get to the restaurant for the dinner. For the evening to be more interesting, it is possible to order dance ensemble Nyanyalar (Grandmothers), but for paying additionally. Night is spent in the hotel.
Day 5: Baku - Shemakha - Gabala - Sheki
Shamakha is headed today and our main aim is to show the harmony of the vertical wall of Sheikh Diri Baba's mausoleum being carved. It is found in the Maraza village, depicting symbols of geometric shapes. Guides will tell legends of the place. Then the way is organized to the city of great and rather rich heritage, Shamakhi. Here the Juma Mosque can be found. It is known for being the starting point to the Albanian church of Nij village. This village is identified as the home of Udins, or the unity of 26 Albanian tribes making the Albanian state, of III century BC - VII century AD. These tribes create the population of modern country. Then the group arrives to the Aspi Winery, for tasting wine. As lunch is served also, after it we are going to get to Sheki, have dinner in the restaurant and spend night in one of the hotels. Today the evening can be interacted with national Mugam music.
Day 6: Sheki - Baku
As we return to the principal city of Azerbaijan, there is a need to pass the 700 m above sea level, the place of mountains and oak forests, for witnessing the Shebeke workshop. Right here you are able to learn the way of the creation of Sheki Halva. Then the village Kish, known to be Caucasian, is visited. And this one creates us the capital of the local khanate of the past times. Having had lunch, guests get to Sheki Ipek Silk Mill, and get to know of the pride of the local people, presented by kelagai. This is the famous silk headscarf for women. It is also seen to be in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. In Baku guests get to the hotel for night.
Day 7: Baku - Absheron Peninsula - Baku
It is sad that the tour comes to an end, but we still make the tour along amazing locations of Azerbaijan. Today you visit the Historical and Archaeological Museum. It is found in the village, which is seen to be of the Bronze Age emergence, Gala settlement. Then the open-air museum is visited, with then seeing the 5th century fortress. We are glad to give the opportunity to witness the museum of antiques of the village we are passing by. For more emotions, we are getting to Ateshgah Temple of Fire Worshipers. This location is identified for the eternal flame, always flaming. On getting closer to Baku, we visit Yanardag, or the Burning Mountain. In Baku night is spent in the hotel, after seeing the local bazaar.
Day 8: Baku - Airport
This day our team is glad to offer breakfast in the hotel, with then being taken to the airport.
